Change of plan: I just received a vigilante claim from someone who isn't Puppet and I sincerely doubt that there are two town-aligned vigilantes. Providing that everything goes well (i.e. they're not lying) Puppet will flip mafia by the morning, so the cop should NOT check him tonight. Checking Danish and reporting to anyone they cleared beforehand who can pass the result in the thread instead would be better.
Also I'll be at my dad's house all of today and I'll come back tomorrow morning, which means no internet.
Duly noted. Thank you.
The timeframe for the move would be late summer to early fall 1777, since the Battle of Germantown took place on October 4, 1777.

Something has happened!
Francis Marion perched atop a tree branch, clutching his rifle. He was notorious in the South for his guerrilla tactics, and the British despised him for his "ungentlemanly" behavior. As if war was gentlemanly in the first place.
He spotted a slow-moving British supply train and grinned. One of his favorite things to do was snipe at supply trains from the cover of the trees. Nothing infuriated the British - or that Colonel Tarelton who seemed determined to hunt him down - more than being unable to see him as he attacked them. They called him the "Swamp Fox," hiding in the swamps and slinking off like a fox. He rather liked that name.
Movement just inside his peripheral to his left caught his attention. He turned just in time to see the blur dart behind a tree. He had caught only the briefest of glimpses but he was fairly sure he had seen an Indian. He had seen enough of those during the last war with France. He had killed enough of them, too.
His attention diverted from the supply train, he dropped from the tree and slunk through the treeline, hiding behind trees periodically, but always keeping an eye on the direction the Indian had gone.
"General Marion, isn't it?"
Marion paused behind a large hickory. "Who asks?"
Marion checked his rifle. "The Indian everyone has been talking about, eh?"
"And you're the guerrilla fighter everyone's been talking about. Moving and hunting like a fox. Spreading discontent throughout the South among the English."
"Sounds about right."
"I had another target in mind initially, but since my path to him has been blocked, I decided that I'd come to kill you, Swamp Fox, at my allies' request."
Marion barked out a laugh. "Interesting. I think I'll kill you first, you savage."
He turned from behind his tree at the same time as his adversary. Brant's rifle went off at precisely the moment Marion's did.
Brant collapsed without a twitch, the bullet cleanly through his skull. Marion's smile didn't quite leave his face as the bullet through his lung killed him a few seconds slower.
It is now Day 4. Day abilities may now be used and you may now vote. The phase will end at roughly 10pm EDT on July 4.
Also! Happy Independence Day! :D
With the good comes the bad. It's great that one mafia got down..... but sad that a townie did.
new encounters come after each farewell
