I don't know, it really felt like just a chronicle of controversies the franchise has faced throughout the years. I personally would have preferred if it took a different spin on it like this blog which more or less highlighted the ethnocentricity in people's ways of thinking with regards to the Jynx controversy, and highlights that while Japan has no such history to view blackface as offensive, that there was still technically someone at fault down the line.
It doesn't quite point a finger, yet acknowledges that due to the clash of two distinct cultures, controversies would arise, and touches on the issue that nobody seems to actually know what is offensive anymore.
In relation to that, its quite telling that people apply their culture onto Pokemon. We view different skinned individuals as different races, but its apparent they seem to be viewed as the same race. Brock was removed because they worried he would be offensive--because of his eyes. That was a common Asian stereotype, showing they viewed him as the same race as Ash or Misty. Of course, one would think controversy would arise from replacing a dark skinned character with a light skinned one as many people had substituted Brock's race for black or ambiguously brown.

In that respect, it was a good article for not milking out Jynx, but I came in with different expectations of what I thought it would be about.
Though, prior expectations aside, the writing was good. I just wasn't expecting it to be something that was, I guess in the eyes of a veteran fan, obvious. Though, taking a different perspective, had I not known about these past controversies, it would certainly be interesting to have learned about them.

The 2 big ones from what I recall were that it was:
1. Satanic.
2. Caused SEIZUREZ!
