What is the Friend Zone?

Yes several times.

It also applies to male romantic interests. I got stuck in the friend zone with a guy once and it absolutely sucked complete donkey balls. :<

Yeah, I was stuck in one for quite a while and couldn't do anything about it. Then the guy turned out to be a dumbass, so whatever.

None. Its unstoppable, unless they somehow change their mind.

1. Hang out with them and become really good friends, but try to flirt all the while but this is not foolproof and don't flirt so much where you look like a whore.

I think 1 could be good advice. I am, however, going to have to disagree with 2. There is a very distinct possibility that that will lead to forever aloneness. If she doesn't want a relationship now, why will she later? You'll just be solidifying the friendship and confirming that you're ok with not being in a relationship. If you really can't help liking the person as more then a friend, I'd be more inclined to say not to spend any more time with that person.

Is there anyone who has tried waiting and it has actually worked who wants to tell a story?

When my ex told me she liked me, she waited....let me think about this now....one year, two months, one week and three days before I came around. But when I did come around, boy, did I ever come around....

I may or may not currently be in the friend zone with someone. She hasn't given me any indication of leaning one way or the other.

I'm always stuck in the friend zone, unfortunately. .__. Most of my relationships failed because the person never really liked me in "that way", and only saw me as a friend. So, I'm used to being stuck in the friend zone. It sucks, but that's life.

It's happened to me before (and I might be in one currently). Truly starting out as friends, then I realized I liked him. But our friendship was strong, and I didn't want to break that. Another time it happened, he really only wanted to be friends.

I've Friend Zoned a girl before. She told me that she liked me, and I told her that it'd be better if we were just friends. I didn't do it with words, though, she just understood what I meant through how I looked and what I did. I felt bad about it at the time, and I still do.
