Thread: Penmanship

Terrible.

Messy.

Apparently even my messy is neat. So I dunno.

It depends on what I'm using to write and the surface. If I'm using a mechanical pencil, and I do most of the time, it will most likely be very messy, because I don't lift it high enough between each letters, so they're somehow all connected together from the end of the letter to the beginning of the other, although those lines are usually pale. It gets better if I'm writing on a hard surface. However, if I'm using a pen, it magically changes and become pretty neat, with big round letters and all. Although it gets worse than my writing with a mechanical pencil if it's on a soft surface, like in a notebook. My handwriting with a regular pencil is kind of in-between.

Mine looks like it was written by a monkey smoking a joint in the middle of the night while blindfolded.

My as look like os, my ps look like fs, and my words are never on the line, always meandering and chunking every which way. If you saw it, I doubt you could read it.

Of course, this may just be how I see it. I might be Shakespeare compared to someone else's random scratchings of the pencil that they call "handwriting".

Even my friends can barely read my words.

What can I say? It sucks. But I make for it by writing really quickly.

People say I have really neat writing. I also write kind of small. :G

When I write slowly, it's legible.
When I write fast, I can recognize it, but others have trouble reading what I wrote. XD
(Hence, I prefer typing.)

When I'm in class and I write at 40 miles per minute XD (this is old, from my high school days, but my penmanship hasn't really changed that much)

i usually write in just printing. everyone i know tells me it's very neat and tidy and cute, etc :P

Very loopy but generally tidy and apparently quite pretty. It's always cursive.

That said, when I've been making brief notes it's really suffered...
