1. ## Re: Official BMGf Homework Tutor/Help Thread

Best subject:Math :3

Note:Umm I can almost do most things except Algabra ^_^

2. ## Re: Official BMGf Homework Tutor/Help Thread

I will be largely editing the original post to include specific areas.

3. ## Re: Official BMGf Homework Tutor/Help Thread

Thank Arceus for this thread! :D

Okay I'm in Algebra 1 Honors I think it's called. I dunno what to do when i'm working on literal equations and a number has a variable-

V=1/3Pr(Exponent of 2)h

I know i'm stupid =P My brain just wont work right now. >.<

4. ## Re: Official BMGf Homework Tutor/Help Thread

Umm I don't know if we're aloud to ask questions here.If not sorry then.

What are the tutors gonna do after sign-up?

Make a new thread and make sure you help people?

Well the OP says to ask a question and a tutor will help you here. So if i'm right people can keep on signing up or start asking questions right? Just my guess.

Can you be more specific? Use "^" instead of "exponent of" and explain what you're supposed to be solving for.

Oh i'm sorry! ^^;;

Solving for P-Just isolating it really-
V=1/3Pr^h

Replace ^ with 2?

I'll assume I should use order of operations since you didn't use any parentheses.

V=(1/3)(P)(r^h)

1) V/(r^h)=(1/3)P
Divided both sides by r^h

2) 3V/(r^h)=P
Multiply both sides by 3

3) P = 3V/(r^h)

9. ## Re: Official BMGf Homework Tutor/Help Thread

:O What the heck? That was easy and the exponet didn't even cause a problem.
Well big thanks anyway. Now I know not to stress over the exponet.

10. ## Re: Official BMGf Homework Tutor/Help Thread

I hope that was what the question was asking, I still wasn't 100% clear from what you told me.

Well what I had to do was just isolate P, so it's definatley right. ^__^
If I had to isolate r^ it would've been a whole different story, since I would have to get ^ off of r. I was confused 'cause I thought I would have to take off the exponet, even though i'm sokving for P but now that I look over it I realize I don't. Yeah, my brain hasn't been functioning today :P Thanks :)

I know I'm a tutor, but I was wondering if a biology tutor could help me out with this. The question says: Determine the genotypes of the parents if the father is blood type A, the mother is blood type B, the daughter is blood type O, one son is blood type AB, and the other son is type B.

I'm assuming they mean the parents of the parents.

No it's asking for the genotype, A and B are phenotypes. Phenotypes are what you see, like if someone has one allele for blue eyes and one for brown eyes they would have brown eyes because blue eyes are a recessive gene. But their alleles for eye color would still be Brown and Blue.

That's about all I remember on this, I forget which blood types are dominant, recessive, or co-dominant or whatever they are.

Oh, I get it! I guess I was confusing phenotypes and genotypes :p Thanks for your help!

I think the blood types A and B ae the genotypes. Not really, sure, because I'm a sixth grade middle school student, and I only know some things about blood types. At least Rakerai gave us an example. Thanks, Rakerai!
