I wouldn't worry about winning an argument, you'll get nowhere with people as close-minded as they are. Just play how you like and don't worry what other people might think or say :P

But he's made better points on why Emboar will never be good, even if I pointed out that being Fire/Ground will not save him since GF always give their Fire starters frail defenses (just look at the other fire starters' defense stats) thus making his 4x water weakness his death wish.

@Ghetsis-Dennis; That comment was directed at you arguing about how we shouldn't play NU. Defend Emboar as much as you want, it's a force to be reckoned with in NU, by the way.

But NU is not a place for Pokemon who are simply too strong to be in that tier, and I won't be able to use an Emboar against a Tyranitar or Gliscor.

btw, the dinosaurs went extinct because the environment changed too quickly for them to adapt.

But the Pokemon in NU are suffering because elitists treat them like butt monkeys, and all these pixelated programs ever wanted was to compete with the likes of Scizor and Tyranitar and not their restricted tier.

I don't think you understand what I mean. You have no problem calling Smogon elitists, when quite frankly, you are just as elitist yourself. I quote

Now, I don't like ignoring other people's opinion just because I disagree with it. That's pretty stupid, running away from problems rarely help at all.
