Fuck this shit, appearently the fun and game mods decided they're not gonna do anything about the anime image spam in random images, and that if people don't like it they should leave. So now the majority has to deal with something they don't like just so that a minority can continue doing what they like.

It's Random Images anyway, we were saying that we wouldn't need a separate image thread for any category. I'd treat it no differently from a thread happening to have a lot of meme comics posted as long as the images were fine under the rules.

Yeah, I tried to do that yesterday but then I had to go play Minecraft.

Besides it's really only one person who's spamming random images. I think they just wait for someone else to post an image just so they can post their anime crap.

Anyway I don't see why it should be a mod's responsibility to stop it.

I don't think a separate version is required. If the picture isn't breaking any rules, feel free to post it. While it's nice to have a variety of images, one isn't required to come visit the thread. If they don't care for what they see they can ignore the thread or just post whatever they like (that's within the rules) in order to start a new "bandwagon" of sorts.

I think a separate anime images thread in the Japan forum sounds like a fabulous idea.

Of course it's still not the mod's responsibility to make that happen.

Oh okay. When Mizzle said that, it made me jump. I was taking a look at that answer Syn provided in Fun and Games section, and was wondering where i in the post did it imply that. >_<

While I understand that how she worded it, it could be interpreted that way, but when we basically have the same policy for these chat threads, it's unlikely. That if the current topic isn't to your liking, that anyone can suggest a new one, or wait till the topic settles down.
I don't think interpreting that as 'leave the thread if you don't like it' is a good way to read it personally. That's my view on that one. :<

Either way, there's a dedicated anime images thread now. Of course people are still free to post anime images in the random images thread, but hopefully they will make use of the new one.
