Ever since fireworks started selling here, I've been hearing fireworks every single night. Is this also a problem in other places here in America?

Meh, rockets are banned (they were legal, but they got banned a couple of years ago), and it's only around New Years Eve (except on special occasions, though private persons can only use it on New Years Eve). It was much bigger before, now I hardly notice anything outside the time when people actually can use it.

I just actually completed Crystal World for my LP. Then again, I just swept through Kanto with a Mew and a Mewtwo, both of those had received some insane boosts that made them nigh unstoppable. Red wasn't too easy though.
