This means that Starmie has two options: a frail, fast sweeper who can spin away with no fear of being spinblocked, and a bulky sweeper who can shrug off status utterly.

Scrapmie is less susceptible to Pursuit, which is a major factor in which one is more useful.

Why would she be less susceptible to pursuit? That makes no sense. Even if it doesn't have to switch out it still runs the risk of being sucker punched. Your reasoning is illogical.

Also, natural cure makes Starmie a much better choice for spinning toxic spikes.

Also, if Starmie gets put to sleep, paralyzed, frozen, it is completely crippled as a sweeper. Natural cure gives it much better survivability. To use her solely for spinning is irrational.

...I said Pursuit, not Sucker Punch.

And frankly, Sucker Punch is a threat to both sets.

I wish someone would upload the new music.

Anyway, off to fail my resit (makes me wonder why I even bother going in the first place).

Um, yes. You said that even if Scrapmie does not need to switch out to rid itself of status, it is still vulnerable to strong, super-effective priority.

That is still a problem with Natural Cure Starmie, or hell every frail and fast sweeper.

Read your edit. That does, in fact, pose a threat to this particular set: it cannot get rid of status effectively.

Not if Natural Cure Starmie is more inclined to switch out when threatened by a ghost type instead of attempt a Rapid Spin.

There are way too many benefits to Natural Cure. I'd never go scrappy.

Well, I'll admit that Natural Cure is a very fine ability.

But you know what would be even better?

    MAGIC GUARD STARMIE

All the switch-ins. All of them.

I'm watching the stream - or more like listening in now. That remixed music for Gym Leader's last Pokemon is awesome. o.O

Damn, the stream is over. Oh well, glad that I got to see some of it. XD

I'll roll with the punches concerning the inevitability of spoilers, but I'm definitely not watching a stream of the game. Why even get the game in that case?

I see your point to a degree, but most of the fun comes from choosing your own Pokemon and building your own team.
I will definitely be watching streaming.

I can choose my own pokemon and build my own team in any Pokemon game. The reason I'll be getting White 2 is for the changes in environment, new characters and new features. There's just no point in playing the game if I know every single thing that happens. Hell, I could just get Black if that were the case, I've only played through White once after all.

For me, I'll be exposed to all the spoilers out there by the time the game is released here, so I'm fine with it.
