@GallifreyanGallade; As much as I love Jigglypuff, I didn't mean her, I meant Ghirahim. I'm known for being a fanboy of him.
Kirby is pretty cool.

Well, Sonic's not going to be in the next game most likely, but if he comes back he should have Metal Sonic, Tails and Knuckles playable.
Well, I kinda like Ghirahim too. But I'm sure you would want Jigglypuff to still be in it, right?
Yep. I do this thing where as Kirby, I inhale an opponent, then fall off the side of the stage. It kills me, but it kills the opponent as well, so it always works as long as you're willing to kill yourself.Kirby is pretty cool.
@GallifreyanGallade; I'm 99% sure Jiggs will still be in, since she's been every game so far.
Kirbycide? That's an evil trick. xD
Well maybe a couple of Sonic characters could join, like Tails and Knuckles. Remember, Sega have been using Mario characters in the Mario & Sonic Olympic games, so surely Nintendo could have Sonic characters in their games.
Yes, but it's very effective. You could also do it with King Dedede, but he can't inhale an opponent for as long.
I wouldn't be too surprised if Sonic (and more characters like Tails and Knuckles) made appearances in the upcoming SSB4.
I liked playing with Kirby when I started playing as well, but I liked Ness and Yoshi better.
Roy looks interesting in Melee as well, though I'm not sure about how good he actually is.
I don't mind Sega stuff, but there really needs to be a limit on the amount of playable characters that originate from non Nintendo games. Sonic and Snake is fine, maybe Megaman and Phoenix Wright, but eventually it just gets stupid.

I haven't played any of the SSB games, so I don't have much to say. *lurks*
I also missed most of the good GBA games back then, as well - the only good ones I had were Pokemon LeafGreen and Emerald, so I practically missed that era too. Though I did get 10 free GBA games last year from that 3DS Ambassador Program thing. Which I love Nintendo for, as that they made discover great games like The Minish Cap, Wario Land 4, Metroid Fusion, etc.
I haven't played a single GBA game - in case of Gamecube, I did play some Melee at my friend's house a few times.
Thankfully DS has a slot for GBA games. I haven't yet played any games on that, however.
Hey... How about Dragon Quest characters considering Itadaki Street and Fortune Street and most of the DQ games are on Nintendo platforms.
