I prefer Mac. Windows is simply too annoying for me to deal with and I know nothing about Linux.

This whole SimCity deal thing reminds me of that whole Diablo III deal thing.

I wonder if I just opened the flood gates for something. :I

I don't know if you have been absent from the world in a few years or not, but macs are very mainstream.

    Linux will remain Linux though.
You know they are and I know they are, but Mac users don't know they are.
We know we are. At least this Mac user does. (It's one of the things I like about having one; if I, say, forget my charger at home and really need to charge my computer, it's guaranteed someone in my class or in the grad student office also has a Mac and I can borrow theirs for a while.)

I resisted for a while, only using PCs until late 2011, when my hard disk when kaput. But then my school lent me money to buy any computer I wanted, and I used the opportunity to switch to a Mac. There are some things I still prefer about Windows but Macs are just more user-friendly, at least for how I'm using it. I know it can't do as much as Windows can, but I don't really do a lot of fancy stuff with my computer - most of the more specific stuff is stuff that I addressed simply by getting a MacBook Pro instead of an Air (namely, the music composition software I use, with Airs can't run).

Also, hi everybody! I woke up pretty late, as you can see. Then again, Daylight Savings Time reared its ugly head this morning.

Daylights saving time? Uh, I'm guessing it's different in America, I don't think our clocks went forward/back today ...

You know what I done for an hour, like 7pm to 7:50? Nothing. Just kinda laid there in bed, not asleep, not dreaming, not really any mental state, I was awake but I wasn't aware of really anything. I stopped thinking, or at least stopped being aware of myself. I just was at peace for almost an hour. No worries, no fears, just complete relaxation.

Also, as to why we haven't changed the clocks, I think we do it at the end of the month.

Yeah, whatever "logic" there is behind Daylight Savings Time seems to be based on a more agrarian society than we have now. Or something. Whatever. I don't like it.

Then again, I do kind of get frustrated by how early dusk comes in the winter when it's not on DST. I like the suddenly longer day (because I am never awake for the sunrise - although I was tonight, and it felt weird how late it was). Too much darkness makes even a hardcore night owl like me feel gloomy.

That sounds quite relaxing, I do that sometimes but not for that amount of time. Does it feel nice? Idk, sometimes spacing out makes me feel even worse than I was before I did so.

Also about daylight saving time, I don't think I really mind it at all.

So I actually have some good shit written for the novel I've had in my head for, I don't know, eons.

And something of a plot written, and more than just a couple of the characters developed.

But I feel like it's so obviously "besotted by my influences." But John Scalzi says that's a necessary step for a beginning writer, so whatever.

it feels heavenly. Time doesn't seem to exist when I do it. It's like meditating.
