Once your application has been processed, you can find our base by using Strength on the old pickup truck by the SS Anne.

Of course that is not the location of the base, under the truck you will find a note with a riddle that, if you are clever enough, will lead you to a map that shows you where to find a shady character in an ally who will tell you in Swahili a password that you can, if you translate it correctly, tell to me and H-con (it's a 2 part password). Then we will give you a new set of instructions.

I'll be on here intermittently since I have German translation homework to do before my class at 4.

ETA: I like that more than one of you liked my blog post from last night/this morning. I was worried there'd be no one else on Bulba who knew who Coltrane was.

A couple weeks ago I was considering changing my name to GIANT JOHN COLTRANE. I just find the concept of a 60ft John Coltrane funny.

Well, most of what I know about jazz is as a result of having been a bassist in my high school jazz band and taken jazz bass lessons, so I don't know how much people who don't specifically seek out jazz know about it.

Also, I think A Love Supreme is one of those albums that a lot of people claim to know, but few have actually listened to - especially in-full. (Which is a real shame because, as @maria; said in her comment on my post, it's a perfect album. Not one note doesn't work.)

I fail to correlate liking Coltrane and liking that blog, but whatever.

I find the concept of having huge people funny as well. Well, except till the point where you get stomped under their feet or something...

Just because person A posts something I like, doesn't mean I automatically like the post. Apply that to the whole forum, and it's pretty rash to say that the whole forum doesn't like one topic, just because they're too lazy to/don't want to/something something hit the like button.

I'm not trying to say that everyone who didn't like my post doesn't like Coltrane. Just saying this isn't really the place where I expect lots of fans of post-bop jazz, so I was happy that I found some. That is all.

And in general, when I post things that aren't anime-related, they usually don't get many comments.

Most highly commented blog posts are:

A) short and 1) funny, 2) controversial, or 3) about an inside joke that several of your friends know about.

B) long and include a lot of mentions.

Posting about a topic that you are interested in almost never yields a lot of comments unless it falls under one of the previous criteria. Having a long, well thought out post that you worked hours on will not yield a lot of comments unless it falls under one of the previous criteria.

This is a rule of thumb, there are rare exceptions.

I've listened to some of Giant Steps. And probably others, but can't remember which ones.

Anyway, my German translation homework is done! Yay!

My new planned R/S remake team. This team assumes that the Pokemon available in Hoenn are the same as RSE, etc.

I'm getting both, and I'm planning four for each one. I like to wing it at least a bit. I only have a moveset planned for Swalot, pretty much.

Sapphire:

Swampert (No planned moveset)
Delcatty (No planned moveset)
Cacturne (No planned moveset)
Hariyama (No planned moveset)

Ruby:

Sceptile (No planned moveset)
Swalot (Black Sludge/Leftovers) (Yawn/Protect/Earthquake/Sludge Wave)
Chimecho (No planned moveset)
Kecleon (No planned moveset)

There's more I could put on those lists, but I don't wanna limit myself more then I have to. Since all those Pokemon save Sceptile and Cacturne are largely defensive, I may go with more offensive Pokemon for the last two slots of each team. Offensive Pokemon that are actually fast. ^^;
