I can do C++. The problem is that I'm still in the command-line land, though, so I can't help with anything with graphics.

Ehh, don't worry, by the end of this semester, I should be able to make some interfaces as well. Not that it's in my course, but whatever. We're in cmd land as well.

It has a lot more potential than coding in Matlab has, anyways, though I can just give a shit about a lot of things there that need managing in C++. Like arrays and the like.

Game Maker? I'd say definitely try it. iirc it comes with a bucket of tutorials, and it's not that hard to learn.

@Neosquid; This is something you can do with just a year or so of programming. Although Flash uses slightly different stuff, it's practically the same. I couldn't do all of that without looking it up, my friend wrote a lot of the coding himself after looking up some stuff, but I can at least move things around and fix slight mistakes. I'm definitely more of the artsy part of things...


Btw, Flash is a good way to start with things like games. It's not that complicated, lets you know if a line of coding is invalid, and it's somewhat similar to Photoshop with a lot of the commands and libraries and whatnot.

I've made an okay pokémon battle engine in Matlab.

But yeah, if I were to make something, I would have liked it to be more or less from scratch.

But then again, if I really wanted to do something like that, I'd lean other languages.
