I volunteer but only 2 mornings a week now, I could pick up an extra day or two to keep me busy, though Id obviously prefer a paying job.
Don't feel guilty about it, we'd both want a proper job, but we'll just have to wait it out. I do three days of volunteering at a charity shop, 12 hours a week, and even when volunteering there is a it of downtime because there are times when there is little to be done.
I volunteer at an animal shelter, and it hasnt taken that long lately because most of the cats I work with have been adopted or are in foster homes, so there hasn't really been as much work. Im guessing more cats will be brought in fairly soon though so it'll pick up again.
That is long, but I know people in their late twenties who have never been employed, and many of them just want to live off benefits. At least you're filling the gap between proper jobs with volunteering, it shows to employers that you're willing to work even pay isn't offered.

Thats a problem for me too ^^; I spend a huge amount of time online.
Its probably a good thing that Im not online on my phone either too( uses too much data)
I prefer the computer, easier to type and see anyway.
I should get one for my Kindle if I can, maybe I can use it instead of my laptop some times.
