Re: The Bulbagarden Conversational Chat Thread Vol 4
Buying CDs is awesome. The best part occurs when it's a CD that you really wanted. It's like opening up a present.

Amen. I have a bit over 100cds right now, and its never enough! Gonna buy some Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, beatles and kraftwerk. I often buy sued, its cheaper and 9 times out of ten they come in like new condition. i go three used CDs on Monday, they look like they been played once or twice.

I have sigs blocked, so no.
Re: The Bulbagarden Conversational Chat Thread Vol 4
You can turn off sigs? Never knew you could do that. Not like I want to though :sweatlol:

Absolute best part is that you gain appreciation for cds when you get older.

I'm doing well, actually. About the eggs in your signature...well I just checked it today and I don't see anything different [note: has sigs disabled].
@FABuLUSH!; Woot, another blocker.
Nothing against signatures, but I sometimes view this place on my tablet and I would rather not have everything load up.

Hmm..Well, Right now I have sigs on and I can see cracks in 2 of my eggs.

Haha same, on my iPad i just want to see the talk, not the random anime characters and all that. Easier to load and communicate.
CDs, yeah you do appreciate them more. The smell of a brand new CD, the sleekness of an unscuffed case.

Another thing that seems to be falling out of style is liner notes. [Note: this varies between musicians.] I find that learning who was involved on the sets of the tracks is a nice experience and you find out about people that work behind those scenes as well.
When did you get started in your collection?

I love the little booklets you get, no mp3 can replace that. Depends on the artist, and I do feel disappointed when a favourite artist doesn't include any linear notes.
I started buying CDs in 2008, my first three, which i bought at the same time, were Muse's Black Holes and Revelations, a Dio best of and Mastodon's Blood Mountain. i don't listen to any of them now, but that's what got me started in CDs. What got you started?
Re: The Bulbagarden Conversational Chat Thread Vol 4
CDs are awesome. I just wish they weren't so expensive.

Yeah they can be, depends on the artist, like Kraftwerk and Beatles reissues are pretty expensive.
Re: The Bulbagarden Conversational Chat Thread Vol 4
I started in 2003. Had a couple of CDs before then, but the collection started in 2003 with some smooth jazz artists. It grew from there. I filled out an entire 25 cd case [yeah it's not that much lol].

Never liked smooth jazz, more into Hard Bop myself. No 25 isn't much, but if you enjoy them then that's all that matters :)
