i haven't had a shiny in ages, not that I hunt fro them. I don't play games much though.

Shiny Chandelure is just so halloweeny and cool looking.

I know, I'd love one for Halloween as well. I suppose I could try to breed for one.

I'll give it a try. Shiny hunting is something I can do while watching Walking Dead, so I'll just go for it a little bit.

The good thing about shiny hunting is you can do it while you watch TV/surf the internet,you do have a to pay a little attention depending on the method though, but if you have your DS sound turned up the shiny sound is pretty hard to miss.

Throughout my countless hours of Pokemon, I've only seen one Shiny Pokemon, but have caught the PokeRus like 3 times.

I caught PokeRus twice. One time was back in G/S days and the other was in HG/SS. I caught an Abra and it had PokeRus. The thing is, I already had it through a traded Pokemon that was given to me with PokeRus which I kept in the PC. I was really surprised.

If I chain, I either listen to the radio or watch tv. It's so repetitive, you only have to look every now and then.

Not that I try for shinies in any other way, otherwise it simply isn't worth the effort for me. And yes, I'm still mad that they dropped the Pokéradar.

I've gotten the pokérus twice, I think, but one was on emulator, so I don't count that. Have an active strain in my Black that I caught of a wild Shelder though.

Me too. I mean I found it frustrating and it requires a lot of attention, but it's a good way to get shinies. They really should bring it back.

I got pokerus in my current black game. I would much rather have had a shiny.

Frustrating all right (I mean, I want to toss my DS into the wall when a chain breaks at 38-39), but with the increase in probability (~1/200 isn't that bad) and the ability to find multiple on one chain clearly outweighs that.

The PokeRus is only useful if you play competitive on your DS. I have no clue who has time for that

I've been eating a lot recently, I'm worried I'll gain weight. ;~;

It helps your in-game pokes get stronger faster too since it takes less time to max out their EVs. It's probably not that noticeable, but at least it's something.

Also, I like to think you fight your way through the game with deathly ill pokémon, and have to defeat the E4 to get the cure.
