    Some sort of yank/aussie hybrid.

Would love to have the accent the merchant has from RE4 though.

Mine is kinda hard to explain... I live in Portugal, where people speak portuguese, but most conversation I have with people in English are usually Welsh, so I picked up a lot of Welsh accent, but I don't sound Welsh, because my first influence was a this Californian woman who I used to live next-door to... I sound something like Buffy meets Gwen Cooper, with a little lack of trust in what I'm saying.

American? I don't know. I live in Pennsylvania, but I grew up in Baltimore. Though I certainly don't have a Baltimore accent, but it's not Pennsylvanian either. I'd kill to have an Irish accent, though :3

I've got a strange, strange accent. I talk like a combination of Southern, British, and Irish, I guess.

... That is an amusing mental image. Bonus points for Buffy and Torchwood mentions.

... Y'know, that's more or less EXACTLY my situation. I've lived in Australia all my life, yet people seem to think I'm a foreigner based on the way I speak. (I blame television. >_>)

I remember in a relatively recent Skype conversation, a friend of mine from South Carolina asked me if I was speaking in my natural voice, 'cause apparently I sounded like I was from Brooklyn!

a complicated one -- think of it as a mash of a Polack with a Brooklyn accent
my mother was born and raised in Chicago (the epicenter for Polish-Americans), while my father was born and raised in New Jersey (parents born and raised in Brooklyn, grandparents were German immigrants)

I picked it up from my parents, which made it all the more difficult being born and raised in Florida

I'm amazed about how you put Buffy and Gwen Cooper in the same message.

My accent is typical Midwest American, or the non-regional US accent used in news broadcasts and such.

People in SoCal definitely have an accent. We talk faster, and pronounce some words differently. Also, people throw in more um's and like's, even if they're not valley girls.

Personally, I speak with a Californian accent. Though I lived out in Wisconsin when I was a child, so some things I say with a cutesy little midwestern twang.
