Grooseland.
Planet Planet, because if we can have a dog named Dog, we can have a planet named Planet
That Guy.
Shithole.
That's what she said.
I don't really like the adjective "Earthling" or even "Earther". I'm partial to "Terran" as the official adjective, so it'd only make sense to go with "Terra".
Humania, of course.
Because the dominant species there call themselves "humans" before "earthlings"
That's all well and good for now I think, because we only inhabit one planet, but what of the day we quit just talking about going to Mars and actually do it. The trip to Mars will take 7 months if we time it right. That's comparable to the Oregon Trail pre-Transcontinental Railroad, except that the settlers on Mars will need extra infrastructure to try sending ships back. I think it's safe to say then that after that point, there'll be Martian humans but renaming Earth "Humania" would imply our planet's people are somehow more human than the people of any other planet we may go to. That's my thought on the matter anyway.
"The Embodiment of Truth"
"Planet N7"
"Paradoxia"
..
Yeah.
Planet Ourhome.
I'm fine with "Earth", if anything needs to be renamed it's the moon. It's just called "the Moon", why not give it an actual name?
I've actually seen the moon be called Luna, so I'd assume that's its official name if it has one, just like other moons have names already (Phobos, Deimos, Ganymede, etc.). Similarly, I've seen our sun be called Sol.
@Dead Master, I agree, Earthloftian does sound like a decent adjective. It certainly is more pleasant than Earthling.
Bionis, just because I <3 Xenoblade.
