I reckon I'm starting to go through it, so I need to know what it's like from the horses mouth rather than brainwashing Government films.

This could be used as a sort of hub where you can talk about it without being embarrassed.

I am a boy, but feel free to post questions here or answer them no matter what gender you are. This thread is designed to help teens and preteens.

My question - What is it like emotionally? I am beginning to have more contrast in my emotions (apologies for flaming yesterday Jabberwocky), is this normal?

Emotionality, its like a roller coaster. I know that's what EVERYONE says, but its true. It's totally normal to have mood swings.

Um... It sucks. It sucks hard. And, like Megaman said, mood swings. Mood swings every where.

Well that's crap. Any way to avoid too many swings?

I would absolutely love to say "yes" but, honestly, there isn't. At least not an effective, or permanent, way. Just remember, all these things you are going through are completely normal. Everyone your age is going through them. You're not alone. Try to keep a clear head, and not go off the hinges too often. Also, there will be a lot of thinking going on in your head. So, be careful.

Aspergers isn't really going to help...

You're an early bloomer, but that's normal. It means you'll be done with it before everyone else.

Just remember, no matter how terrible you feel at the moment, in three hours your outlook on life will have completely changed. The only way I've found to control mood swings is to listen to happy music. If you have a song that makes you feel happy, it can help cheer you up when your feeling like shit.

Aaah the infamous "Aspergers". I hate living with that condition. Middle/High school will suck for you and I know this b/c not many people understand us.

Another thing you should do is get in the habit of washing your face daily. I don't care if it looks godly-clean, do it anyway or it won't stay like that.

Oh yeah. I finally learned to start doing that, but I learned it a bit too late and now have acne all over my face.

Hyper's right. If you don't wash your face like you're OCD, it's gonna get real bad. I know it from experience.

Whoops, sorry. Twenties answering? I was just going at it from an experienced 14 year old's standpoint. But, I guess it still applies just as well.

Well, I'm sixteen, but I think I know enough about puberty to answer questions, given that almost everything that can happen to someone going through puberty has happened to me.
