I was not sure where to post this, but I believe this thread to be short and locked after a while when it's not needed anymore. I hope I don't seem crazy when I say this, but I have been pondering about a
paranoidthought for a whole year. It is probably very stupid.
In April 2007 I started a text-based RPG on the Internet. It is one of the many small Pokemon RPG-sites found on the Internet. I later wanted to update the RPG with new worlds and new story, and in April 2009 I posted an introduction to a system that would connect the RPG worlds. How this works is not very important in this context, because what I want to say is that in that post I wrote this exact line of text:
"The Pokemon you find in the dream-world, you can keep when you wake up."
A year or so later, I found a very similar text on Bulbapedia. It was so similar, that I first believed they had copied it from my RPG. I had to tell myself that this is but a coincidence. I can no longer find that text on Bulbapedia, because it must have been deleted in an update.
I know it is very stupid and unnecessary to believe that there are spies on my site. Yet my friend told me to hide parts of it so that only members would see. I have not told this to many people, because it sounds so crazy, but they tell me it is a coincidence, and it must be.
I don't want to have paranoid thoughts, and I wish for anyone to tell me that this is a coincidence, and if the person who wrote the text on Bulbapedia is here, then he can only tell me that it is a sheer coincidence that it's so similar. And maybe I misread it anyway, and I'm getting upset for a thing that doesn't matter.
Thanks for reading, and I'm sorry if I sound strange when bringing this up.
