Thread: Have you ever been banned from a website? :(

I got banned twice from that certain site, y'know? well, the second time, I don't even know why.

Well, Discogs has had me on its Contributor Improvement Program for quite some time now, and I don't see my self getting to the point where I can update the wiki again anytime soon...

Does that count?

I've been banned from Bulbapedia and the forums.

Not true. Any user can be banned at any time.

I got banned from TPE (now TPW) infinetely for the plagiarism situation. However, a few days afterward Jio got Trom and I unbanned.

I got banned from a missing and unidentified persons forum for posting information about possible matches (for unidentified people) on another forum for missing and unidentified persons.

For some reason, I don't remember seeing that rule on the forum I was banned from. It was supposed to be a 7 day ban or something, but somehow I could not log back on after that amount of days...

Nope. Admittedly, some moron issued a warrant saying that he'll ban anyone who tells me about a certain chat room he runs, just because I defended my brother against accusations of theft from him, but that's the closest I've come to a ban.

It should be noted that said banhappy moron is only twelve, and has a long track record of irrational, noob behaviour.

Give people power in the internet and it becomes the gang of Prohibition again.

In other words, the people who handle power best are those who don't want it. People who want to be mods or something usually wield that power like a *coughs* banhammer or my personal favorite, a ban-saw. Broken bones heal. Missing limbs do not.

And I find that a lot of these types of mods hate me.

One of my alts on UGOPlayer Forums got banned. My main account was still intact, though.

I've been banned from the Psypoke chatroom once for being a complete and utter moron, but it was only a one month ban. Otherwise, I think I have a clean sheet.

And I think I might know the site Valentine mentioned, heh.

I got banned from being in a flame war involving politics. Also another reason why I hate talking about politics.

i got banned from an authors website, i dont remember her name....

I was banned from serebii for about a week. In one minute I received 6 infraction letters, from one moderator! He basically hates me.

Never been banned but I've had enough infractions, On TS3 Forums I got an infraction for "Inappropriate Conduct" ie. "This forums is made for 3 year olds" as i posted a link to http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/www.jesus-is-saviour.com, a picture of the Westborough Baptist Church's pickets and the album cover of Marilyn Manson's album Holy Wood in reference to scary things.

I've recieved a couple of other infractions one was not because I had done anything wrong but because I didn't agree with the religious beliefs of the mod but at least I come out as the bigger person (morally).
