I've only ever shown my girlfriend my story. She enjoyed it, but I don't think she could get away with saying it was as haha

I only let one person read mine too. She said she wanted to read more, but I don't have any more and I'm not going to write any more.
    That's nice.

You could just plagiarize and find and replace all character names xD

I think it would be kind of apparent that the entire story and writing style changes half way through =P
    That's nice.

You could say that you were writing from a different perspective to show how the character has changed since you started blatantly copy and pasting from the Great Gatsby xD

... is it wrong that I actually kind of want to read that?

That might be a good career opportunity, taking classics and rewriting them to take place in space in the future. I can see it now, Alice in Wonderland IN SPACE, The Wizard of Oz IN SPACE, Robin Hood IN SPACE... The possibilities are endless.

Lord of the Flies IN SPACE would be awesome.
    That's nice.

A real page turner. Will Tom remain racist in space? Will Daisy mourn Jay Gatz as his ashes are scattered across the milk way in space? Will swing music have a space revival in space?

    One word. Dune.

More words; Star Wars in Space, Death of a Salesman in Space, King Lear in Space.

Yeah, except cooler because space is cooler than zombies.
