I've noticed there indeed are people who just want to hate themselves, and like the fact that they can hate themselves, and trying to disprove those reasons to comfort them will only cause them to find new reasons to hate themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of those people go to the sad stories there so they can hate humanity and by extension themselves.

It's human nature to find the worst in people.

    That's absurd. Prove it.

No. I won't. You probably can state more negative things about me or those other guys than you can for positives...

Some people just see the glass half empty.

What glass? Life is a box that we look into to see other people sitting in the box with their ideas while the most random ideas float by us, repelled by the nature of the Reality Container.

The glass that the therapist puts on the table. Then they ask you if it's half full or empty.

That depends on whether the glass was filled up or drained out to reach that state it's in currently.

It doesn't matter, all I see is a glass that's twice as large as it needs to be.
    That's nice.

Obviously that glass is mine and you all need to pay a visitor's tax for touching it :[

But is the glass really there? Is it not a warped reality of what is to come and what is to happen?

The glass isn't real. It's a metaphor for how much sanity you have. The more you see , the more sane you are?
