    No because Pikachu is the main mascot of the pokémon franchise. Should this thread be in the Pokémon Anime Forum?

    ooh good question.

    raichu has its charms but nothing beats the cuteness of pikachu.

    Also, a vital part of Ash's pikachu's character is his own identity as a pikachu. to make him evolve would be like turning a dog into a cat without asking the dog if he wanted to.
