Since he only appears for the same 1 minute scenes as Jessie/James in most eps, what do you expect?
He's still Meowth, regardless.

The writers sure have a funny way of showing it, considering how he's been out of character for a good 80% of the series.
I was extremely pleased with Team Rocket. They give me the most hope.
I have always disliked them as a comic relief, they are much better now that they have a brain in their heads. I am very excited to see how they turn out. I am also dead excited to see Team Rocket vs. Team Galactic. I'm furious that they never aired it.
I always felt that the comic relief was better suited to Nyasu. We get a good balance of fun and serious. Dogasu still thinks that being serious and cool means having no personality and I can't change that.
Please don't put words in my mouth. I've never said anything close to that.
You're right when you say that "serious and cool" doesn't mean "no personality." But, at the same time, it doesn't necessarily mean "interesting personality," either. It all depends on what the writers do with these personality traits. And in the case of the Rocket trio, the writers are failing abysmally.
I'll just copy/paste what I recently posted in the Maracacchi episode thread:
I'm disliking what Team Rocket is after pokemon BW. They're CATCH PHRASE has changed (I hate this part the most), Wobuffet and Mime Jr are DEAD, and their new pokemon barely show attitude and affection. I remember when Jessie was actually attached to her dustox and whatever. Now, they act like they're just tools used for battling.
Isn't that what Team Rocket's whole philosophy on Pokemon training is?
One thing I sorta don't like about TR this series is that I'm not quite as excited to see where they'll end up next. In the past regions, even rewatching them, I was always eager to see what sort of antics TR would get into this time. However, in BW I'm a bit more apathetic. I do like how Dr. Zager seems a bit more involved though.
Yes and no. No, I don't like how dull and lifeless Team Rocket has become. Attempts at intelligence don't suit them. But in one regard, I do like their new role, since it means they are shown far less often. Come on, it's been, like, 14 seasons! I don't need to see Team Rocket in every episode, Best Wishes or otherwise.
Is anyone besides me forgetting that Team Rocket is even in Best Wishes anymore? I haven't really seen them in, uh, I don't even know anymore. I remembered when they used to have episodes (which included capture episodes) of them but now, it's like Oshawott is taking over their spot.
No, you're not the only one...When has Team Rocket ever missed what, three, four, or five consecutive episodes at a time without an appearance?? Now that's scary...At the begininng of BW, yeah Team Rocket was cold, serious, and seemigly lifeless and devoid of any noticeable human traits...I loved the black uniforms...and it seemed like they were being built up for something BIG...
But now I'm just not sure where they're going now...
I DID like them:drowsy:... The way they are now is very creepy to me. It's like they are robots and someone pushed a switch on them to now be totally serious. It's just strange, the way they changed like that. I did hate them in Black & White because I was blaming them for Team Plasma not showing up, but now I can't because they were in the episode with Team Plasma. And I am SO mad that they haven't played it. I'm currently steaming with anger...:banghead:
Oh, and I'm probably the only person, but I HATE it when Meowth says "eternity"... It is so annoying:mad:! Just say it normal, Meowth. I also hate the way Team Rocket talks now. To me, it's like they all try to rhyme or something:sweat:.
They're fine for now... but I think they're getting a bit old for me -.-
From the earthquake thread:
We don't actually know that they were ever promoted. Yes, all evidence seems to point that way, with the new uniforms and more regular contact with the boss and all that, but it's never been stated outright.Quote:

Team Rocket, for me it's just really hard to choose.
On, one hand I got really tired of them being shoehorned in every episode. Taking time away from important scenes, and there comedy just for bland at times. Plus, they were really overhyped at times and then the horrible dialogue with those guys. And, they never really grew much as characters and there Pokemon weren't really strong, they weren't a threat. It was basically, Kojirou sending out Masukippa and Musashi sending out Megayanma or her snake every episode, them using one attack and then Pikachu and Pochama sending them flying with Bubblebeam + Thunderbolt.
On, the otherhand I really did like them at times. Nyasu, Kojirou, and Musashi were gueninely fun at times. When they weren't being shoehorned in every episode, and had some gueninely entertaining and compelling moments. Like, with Kojirou's love of PokeRinger, Musashi's Contest goal not being a joke, and Dokukale being released. Of course, I didn't expect for Kojirou or Musashi to win since they were pretty much death fodder for Hikari and Satoshi. I also enjoyed it when they had Pokemon like Manene, Gar-Chan, Dokukale, and Sabonea with tons of personality. There backstories with them having rough past sadly haven't been touched on much and wehre featured a lot in Kanto, they looked toward each other for support when no else in the world would. I think in BW, the reasons I liked Nyasu being more playful was because he was really really entertaining before, I sort of took that for granted a bit. But, I won't lie I feel, like the writers are at least trying to make them a bit more relevant with them being competent, being featured in more episodes being involved, and not shoehorned in every episode which I actually do enjoy at times. Koromori and Desmas, still do have pretty boring movepools and attitudes. I guess, when Team Rocket does act a bit more playful at times it's like a rarecandytreat so to speak, not overly showcased or overly done.
Lol, sorry about the wall of text. Haha, I just really like Team Rocket.
