Thread: Your favorite Coordinator?

So who's your favorite coordinator? Who has had the best appeals? The most entertaining battles?

I vote for May, she's awesome she did cool things, showed a nice mind and attitude a lot. She caught some of my favorite Pokemon Squirtle, Combusken, Bulbasaur, Munchlax. Her contest battle rounds were amazing, her second contest in which she took on Grace and her Medicham with Beautifly and it did all that,(String Shot being used for an Attack, Silver Tornado) was just cool. She had a very evil rival, Harley. Before she got Squirtle she really put some thought in her appeals. The thing that annoyed me about Suqirtle, Piplup, and Buneary was all the Ice Beam and Bubble appeals we saw. The way she beat Cacturne with Bulbasaur, her battling alongside her friends constantly her cutting it close and Squirtle being the one to beat Banette and earn her her last ribbon in the last chance she had was amazing.

Dawn. Her character development involving the whole contest thing seemed plenty. She was inventive at times, and then it just wasn't good enough. No outright screw-ups, as in Kenny's Grand Festival appearance, but her skills weren't great. Seeing her pull-off more amazing appeals/combos and invent everything (Ice Chandelier, Flame Ice, Buneary's Ice Beam or Piplup's Bubblebeam in general) was both satisfying and awe-inspiring. Pretty good for a cartoon.

Second place: Jessie. She comes along with Dawn's development. Her skill came out in the end, and she ended up having the most arcane style. Great to watch strange win.

Objectively, I think Ursula was the best co-ordinator - her appeals and combinations were always interesting and fun to watch (shame she was denied the on-screen win she so richly deserved).

My vote goes to Harley, however, since overall I found him to be the most entertaining as a character. Plus, he has my favourite pokemon, so a thousand plus points right there.

Another thing I found unique about Harley was that, while most co-ordinators typically armed themselves with pokemon with an obvious aesthetic appeal, his tastes were...a lot less coventional. He specialised in pokemon who others would no doubt label "creepy" or "scary", and worked to bring out their inner beauty. I respect that. :)

i voted for drew, mainly for the sheer awesomness of his roselia.

i agree with ^ though, harley deserves som respect for that. and he was hillarious.

Nando, if only for his kickass Kricketune and Lopunny.

I voted for Dawn and Ursula. I liked both of their personality, developpement. I rooted for both of them when they were competing against one another and I still think their second battle is the best contest battle ever.

Of course I'm the only one that likes Zoey...She was absolutely awesome!

Harley because he was different from the other coordinators. He used scary Pokemon instead of the usual cutsey types. Also he's fabulous and hilarious!

May and Drew are my favorite coordinators. Mainly because their battling and the way they preform were much better then the others. Ursula wasn't that bad. She would have to be my third favorite. Harely performance is very strange but then again that is Harely personality.

I vote other because there are so many coordinators that they are not all put in. My favorite one is Fantina. I also think this will be locked because of the last topic we had on this was locked.

Nando... For me it's got to be Nando, both in America and Japan. He is such a unique character, something you'd expect from other series other than pokemon, and the fact that he literally turned his performances and battles in contests into stage performances.

Harley was my favorite Coordinator of all time. He was sneaky, dramatic and strong in his own way. I wish we had seen him in DP, but I'll still cherish all the funny Harley moments back in AG.

Haruka, Musashi, and Shuu get my vote. I'd love to see them make a return, but alas... no contests in Isshu.

The coordinator I voted for here is not my favorite character, but rather a coordinator whose contests I enjoyed watching the most, and who always managed to make the episode more interesting (in several ways), almost like a breath of fresh air except breathing in his air would probably poison you. In other words, I voted for Harley, because although I find him to be annoying and rude, when it comes to watching a coordinator...if Harley's there, its gonna be fun.
