Exlcuding pokes like Haunter, Larvitar, Beedrill, Seaking and Ratticate, would it be Muk with 3 moves ?

Do you count every evolution as a seperate pokémon ? Like how it could be Metapod since it only used Harden ? If not, then Lapras I guess...

Lapras is the correct answer as it only ever used 2 moves

All of the HM moves from the games have been shown to be known by one of the main characters or one of their main rivals except 2.

HM's of all time are: Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Flash, Whirlpool, Waterfall, Rock Smash, Dive, Defog, and Rock Climb.

Ash's Gible knows Rock Smash while Torterra knows Rock Climb. So those are out. Piplup knows Whirlpool and Zoey's Lumineon knows Waterfall if I recall correctly so they're out. Kenny's Machoke knows Strength.

I'm unsure with the rest. Did May's Beautifly know Flash or was it someone else. I think I can eliminate that. Same as Cut, I'm pretty sure I've seen it been used by someone. And Ash has technically used Fly with Charizard and Pidgeot and he has Surfed on Lapras.

And someone from the movies had a pokemon with Defog but they weren't a main character or main rival so I'm going to say Defog. And I guess my second choice, by process of elimination is Dive.

So Defog and Dive are my answers.

Does this include Orange Islands?

The only ones i know of are the Cinnabar Gym and the Viridian Gym. I'm not sure if any Orange Island gyms had a Rhydon.

Flint (Brock's dad) owns a Rhydon IIRC and Rudy also...

Gible and Enzap have both got 2 but there is one more gym that has one so whoever gets that one will get to ask the question
