The Hermit Crab is so much better than the mole by a long shot.

I know I'm basically repeating what Chiplet said, but I think Excadrill would have the upper hand because one of his moves hits Crustle super effectivly while Crustle can't even hit the mole neutrally. The crab is in the same situation as Pikachu was back in the Club Battle, and I'm sure you all remember how that went for the electric mouse... Excadrill's also the faster of the two barring a possible Shell Smash.
I have claimed the Spell Tag and Kasib Berry, along with Adaptability and Shadow Ball. I have also claimed Gastly.
If you think Nintendo need to sue PETA up the ass for making Pokemon Black and Blue, copy and paste this into your sig.
Hypnodance FTW!

I think Crustle would win if they fought. When Shell Smash is used, Crustle becomes faster and stronger. That might be enough to give it an edge.
If it was based on personality and attitude, I definitely prefer the mole.

Well, a battle between them would have been quite a fight... Not sure who would win it, tbh.
However, Excadrill is by far better! The whole disobedience thing till BW033, won Iris the Club Battle, the battle against Dewott (yeah, it was Burgundy, but it was quite a battle), and tied with Drayden's freakin' Haxorus! Plus, it mastered Focus Blast's accuracy as soon as it learned it! (in contrary to a certain Scraggy...)
Crustle, on the other hand, had serious problems with Skyla and Trip's Serperior. Plus, I think that it's power fluctuates depending on whether the writers want Cilan to win or lose it (Heck, it beat a Gurdurr as a Dwebble, just because Cilan used: "Offense and defense! A recipe for sucess!"
