Which of Ash's friends made the least impact on his journey?

I'm not going to include Tracey on the poll, since its pretty obvious Ash's adventure in Orange Islands would have played out virtually the same whether he was there or not. Tracey also invited himself on the main group for no reason other to meet Prof. Oak, and while he had a decent friendship with Ash, it was nothing too remarkable.

Which of Ash's friends otherwise do you think made the least impact on Ash's character himself or his adventure in that particular region said character was around for? Which character affected Ash the least?

It's too early to say for Iris and Cilan, so I'd say Max. Everyone else had a big impact on Ash's journey. :)

I have to say I'm going with Max as well.
Mostly every one else on this poll has had at least some impact or closer friendship with Ash :/

I voted for Max, not May, but Max.

Cilan - because I think that Ash is affecting him more than the inverse, which is a nice change ;)

Now, why would you lump May and Max together when they are obviously different characters and can't really be judged as a package? Curious.

Where's Tracey on this list? I would choose him.

LOL, DANG!!! You already mentioned that we can't choose Tracy. I can't comment on Iris or Cilan to BW is over, then i'll know for sure. Brock and Ash are like brothers and Ash learned as much from Brock as he did from any of his battles. Misty traveled with Ash for a long time and while she didn't have as big of an impact as Brock she definitely left her mark. So, i'm gonna say May and Max, but only because you have them together. If they were single it would be just Max.

No 0__o if anything, the "sets" of AG were Ash/May and Brock/Max...
Anyway, obviously Tracey and Max (especially Tracey) are the answer to this question... all the others had their good amount of influence on Ash
