I never knew these people, and what happened doesn't directly affect me at all. Now, this does not by any means mean that I don't think it was a terrible thing. It sure as fuck was.

But I'm not getting sad and depressed over it, because as stated before, it just doesn't affect me. Shit like this has happened before, I have no trouble believing that it will happen again at some point. I'm not going to get upset about the misfortune of people I don't even know the names of.

People die every day. People are murdered every day. How is this any different?
The only difference is that it made it to the news. Comparatively, this is nothing.

As my earlier post said, I do think that what happened is terrible and should not be dismissed. But don't get depressed and tearful over people you never knew.

I just hate hearing about things like this.

I do live on the internet, after all.
