But it's getting slightly lower scores from critics compared to the original BW despite being the first of its kind.

Scores mean nothing if the person playing the game enjoys it overall. :3

It does, actually, as there have been research studies of people picking games based on their total scores, from other reviewers, from Metacritic.

Lol, critics. I've played dozens of "bad" games that are excellent. A big one being Knuckle Chaotix. I steadily see it's the worst Sonic game ever made, but I'd say otherwise.

It's just a bad idea to go by what critics think is best.

    Exactly. Just because it's the opinion of a critic doesn't mean it is the opinion of everyone else. -__-;

    Also, Team Chaotix FTW! <3

But Knuckles Chaotix is a spin-off title.

It's just a bad idea to go by what critics think is best.
The Nostalgia Critic and the Game Overthinker say otherwise. Now everytime I mentioned these guys, have you guys ever seen any of their video reviews? It's the only way for you to find out how I feel about critics.

Right on guys :D I love games that some critics hate; I don't care that they don't like the game I enjoy.

I don't give a rat's behind what either of those guys think. I go by user scores on Gamefaqs more than anything, because those are normal people like me playing the game and reviewing it, not supposedly expert critics.

But still, critics are critics and their opinion is not law.

Frick, man, I don't even do that. I just look up gameplay videos for whatever game it is, and watch to see if it's something I'd be interested in or not.

You guys aren't answering my question. Be honest with me: have you guys ever seen the videos of the Nostalgia Critic, Movie Bob, the Yahtzee, and the Movie Preview Critic?

BTW, Gamefaqs is not a good source due to elitism.

No, I have not watched any videos by any critics, nor do I intend to.

You must, so you'll all know how miserable my life regarding media entertainment is. It's the only way to know more about why I keep making these media-related blogs and threads.

Now that I can actually watch videos at home, I will probably start just doing this instead :P

And yes, I have seen a couple of Nostalgia critic videos, and I didn't really care for him that much tbh.
Umm.... Okay... That's a really vague reason. Elitism in what way? People go there to write walkthroughs and review games, I've yet to meet an "elitist" there.

I hear stories from other places that GameFAQs is full of flame wars and elitism.
