Ha, that's funny. It's as if you think school has had any impact on my knowledge at all ever.

My dad's pretty smart, and he never went to college.

Are you implying that school will never make you smart? I wasn't able to learn anything myself without school.

That's not what I'm implying. I was just saying college isn't necessary to be smart.

I would be be terrified myself.

I learned everything I know through reading books on various subjects. To be fair, some of said books were school textbooks, but I never paid shit-all attention in classes. In Year 8 I wrote a 10-page long report on Pluto and why it isn't a planet, for my science teacher who still thought it was despite it being declassified a few years prior. It was so well-written he though I copy-pasted the whole thing.

But college is also needed to get a degree for a job.

My parents run a small business at home. No degree required.

Besides, a lot of college graduates in the US are either underemployed or unemployed, so does it really matter that much?
