I admit the art style turned me away at first, but then I read synopsizes and tropes.

    How rude.
I was referring to my own prejudices when it comes to art style, but okay.

Now you're starting to sound like those people who believe the shows they grew up with are superior.

How? I thought my post had the opposite point.
Remember when Neon Genesis Evangelion was on CN despite it's very dark themes?
(Because I guess the executives thought "Hey, it's animated, it must be for children")

I don't think a mistake like that would happen anymore, which is good.

I don't remember that anime being aired on CN.

Neon Genesis Evangelion Toonami Intro - YouTube

So I googled and found that ^
It's Toonami, yes, but NGE is still too dark for Toonami's audience at that time.

SG, don't argue with him, he's too thick-headed to listen to opinions that aren't his own.
