I've never been to Florida before, let alone anything east of Mississippi (not the Mississippi, Mississippi)

I'm pretty sure they got that new roller coaster in San Diego, "Manta." I'm not much into roller coasters though I think you would like to know.

It saddens me that there's no elephant exhibit at the San Francisco Zoo.

I haven't been there either. For some reason, my parents have taken us to the zoos in Oakland and San Jose, but not the one in SF. I dunno why.

There's a teaching zoo at a community college in my city, but the only good one I know of in Florida is in Tampa. Which is also 2 hours away. I'm about 2 hours away from most of Florida's big cities. Except for Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. I'm about 5 hours away from them.

Mike, do you see lots of elderly people there in Florida?

Oakland and San Jose have zoos? I must go to those places now!

Yes, yes they do. San Jose's is pretty mediocre, Oakland's is decent. Vallejo has a zoo too, in Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

In some parts, yes. Mostly in an area called The Villages. Old New Yorkers move down there and try to take over the politics in the state, so they screw everything up. But there's not a flood of gray in Florida.

Where in Florida is that? How about partiers?

@Ghetsis-Dennis; It's been forever since I last went there. I did go to Magic Mountain for a school trip back in May.

@Serperiority; Where I live, not that many. A lot of Florida is actually country. Woods and rednecks. It's kind of ironic, because south Florida is more populated, but north Florida mostly country. I live in north Florida directly in the middle, so there's not many parties going on here. That's mostly Tampa and Miami.

As I've seen on How The States Got Their Shapes on History, here's how Florida is categorized:

South Florida: Party Central
Northern Florida: Cowboys
Panhandle: Annex of Party Central

(Don't remember the exact one, it's been a while since I last watched it)

That's pretty much it. I live in the cowboy area. Most people don't think Florida is a "southern" state, but it is.

To me, Alabama is "Redneck Central," but that's just me. How about you?
