If you're constantly reminded, then you do things that make you forget about it. Even if you do think about it, that's okay. You shouldn't forget it because it was there and it really did exist... thinking can remind you of how things went wrong, how to improve mistakes. But being constantly plagued by it isn't healthy and that's when you should talk to someone about it or do something that can help you forget. Sadness doesn't stay forever, not if you can let it go and move on.
