The reason Archeops have Defeatist is almost the same as Slaking got Truant (Stat too high in comparison to other Pokemon)

Slaking and Archeops are actually quite different. Slaking has a BST of 670, while most Legendaries have BSTs of ranging from 580-680. Archeops has a BST of 567, putting him behind the Legendaries and Pseudo-Legendaries, so he's most certainly not broken. His high offensive stats are balance by terrible defensive stats, and he's weak to two forms of priority attacks (Aqua Jet and Ice Shard).

And Bullet Punch, how can you forget Scizor's signature move :P
Yeah, so maybe getting it out of Defeatist is a good choice, since the priority move take out its HP and lower its Atk at the same turn :)

Mach Punch is the only move I know of that is considerably effected.

It may be the only notable move but its one hell of an important one. That would definitely cement conky's place in OU.

No use, it doesn't have STAB, and I think it would still be outclassed by other water types is LC. It could work as a Chinchou Lure, though.

Yeah, I don't feel that Archeops needs an ability holding him back. He's not broken.

I don't think its ability holds it back that much considering how frail it is. Just remove rocks from play or switch it in on an attack and it'll be fine

Iron fist boosted mach punch = 72 power after STAB.

Technician boosted = 90 power after STAB.

So, the latter would be 1.25 times powerful as compared to the former.

I always thought that Mewtwo got the short end of the stick when it came to DW abilities. I for one would have loved to see how Mewtwo would fare with Sheer Force as its DW ability.

Well, it would definitely make for a more powerful pure attacking set, like:
Flamethrower
T-bolt
Ice Beam
Psychic

and then to give it life orb... Yeowch, that could be fun!

Apart from gimicky sort of sets, I don't see any of those moves being an amazing asset, apart from Stored Power, to a certain extent.
