Anything with Shadow tag will come out of NU, always. That said, the main problem that using encore+disable will be be dewgong's low speed and average bulk. Your opponent will have hit you atleast twice before this can be pulled off.
However, if dewgong does get shadow tag, the deadliest combination would be perish song + shadow tag.
I'm pretty sure the goth thing has Shadow Tag and in NU.
But yeah, it'd be a better Perish-trapper. Seel might work with Eviolite, but even if it does work and your opponent doesn't switch you'll have to take two attacks which Ice types can't take unless you predict flawlessly.
gothitelle has shadow tag but it is currently unreleased.
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
What if snorlax got slack off? Even better Gengar needs Nasty Plot
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
Both of those really need to happen, and why they haven't happened yet is WAY beyond me. Snorlax would shoot back up to OU, definitely.
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
Nah, the best snorlax set in OU is the cb set. That doesn't need slackoff. Snorlax is still scared of clowncrete and friends. I'm not sure how slack off can help there.
Now nasty plot Gengar would be great. Blissey will run scared as a +6 Focus blast hits it.
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
Timid / Leftovers / Levitate
4 Defense / 252 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed
- Substitute
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
Substitute makes absolute setup fodder out of Chansey, as well as Blissey without a Special attack. Imagine going up against Gengar with +2 Sp. Attack and a Sub. Scary.
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
i believe you forgot to mention the pokemon? unless thats the snorlax from before.
never mind, i saw the gengar. that's pretty good. even better if it got tail glow.
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
2 things about Rampardos: 1) rampardos with moxie. 2) Also gets bullet punch or mach punch. Game freak should doooo itt!!
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
How about Rampardos with pure power?
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
Priority would still wreck it, but with an Adamant nature, it would have an outright ridiculous 942 Attack without any setup whatsoever. That stat alone would at least get it out of NU. It would only need a Choice Scarf to be a competent wall-breaker and pseudo-revenge-killer.
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
Uh, guys. Snorlax definitely does not need Slack Off. One of my UU team's Snorlax gets Burned and Poisoned at least every second match, even when the opponent knows it will have Rest, just to try and get damage on it. That shows how much of an absolute tank it is. After a Curse, it can sit in comfortably and tank any and all hits from Physical and Special (barring STAB Fighting moves) with ease. Even if 'Lax got Slack Off, Rest would be much better, imo.

I like its spread but wouldn't you want a bit more speed??
for its coverage moves: You can breed double edge which will let it abuse rock head some more. If you are not able to do that then its take down should suffice for coverage related reasons. Hammer arm is good against steels if you don't breed double edge, but brick break should be a decent alternative. A potential 4th move could be zen headbutt but I think that would work better with a choice scarf since if its a bit faster it can flinch.
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
cool. i was just looking for the general idea, i wasn't up to it. you could also scarf it though.
Re: Theorymonning: What if this Pokemon had...?
Just one thing: Return >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Take Down, even with Rock Head. Snip out the recoil, and you have a move with 90 power and, like, 85% accuracy if I remembering right; totally outclassed by 102 power and 100% accuracy.
