Scald could always be a nuisance. You may want taunt, and CM instead. I run Taunt and SD and it usually goes well, though.

I know Jolteon isn't all that powerful against Jellicent, but I've found that I can generally weaken it a lot. Though Virizion would probably work unless it gets Scald burn/WIll'o'wisp (never actually used it that much, but I think that would stop Virizion).
EDITL ninja'd by Angad :). What aobut Tangrowth? Noticed something earlier this thread about it.

I'd think Sub + CM would do well against Jellicent... unless it stops the CM'age with Taunt.

Virizion is a really good anti-metagame pokemon, it counter Dory, can check Garchomp, beat rain abusers, it's a very well built pokemon.

I've not used it so far, but I"ve certainly faced it, the best counter I have is Volcarona.
Wait, did we mention it in this thread?
Anyhow, it's definitely good. It's speed lets it be a major threat. The fact that it can attack both physically and specially is useful as well.

Volcarona's especially deadly in the Sun. Its best counter (Azumarill) has its Aqua Jet severely nerfed by the Sun, and its Fire Moves (such as Fiery Dance) get a big boost. Combine that with its other pros (such as Quiver Dance and the stats to use it), and you have a monster.

No, but the OU metagame seems pretty tailored to it. At least when compared to Gen. IV OU.

It's more of the fact that Azumarrill can counter many of the metagame's new powerful threats.

Have we talked about Terrakion? Terrakion is amazing. It has great dual STAB, great set-up moves, and it's considerably bulky is SS. It's a shame it has so many weaknesses, though.

Yeah, Terrakion's pretty cool. It hates Scizor, Azumarill, and Conkeldurr, though. Especially after it uses Close Combat.

I think we mentioned it...Love the double battle WHimsicott+beat Up+Terrakion strategy though. Justified isn't as good as, say, Moxie, but it's pretty awesome.
