To be honest, Chomp wouldn't have been banned if people tried out different things. A bulky Rough Skin Chomp with Dtail was badass. Still, was only a matter of time. As for Ferro and Thundurus; they going nowhere. Good, but not broken.

Not sure what else I would class as broken.

Rough skin has not been released yet..

And chomp getting banned is really frustrating..
He was my perfect counter to latios and ferrothorn (scarfed outrage + fire blast respectively)
And i cant abuse latios myself if i play on the wifi..
And so i cant counter latios without using ttar at all..

And u know what? Everybody wants to stall all day long and therefore things like ferrothorn will never ever get banned..

Ah, well that makes sense, I guess. Only ever seen it discussed.

Other dragons can do likewise. Not as well, but can still pull it off.

Stall's no fun if you use the same things with the same movepools. Ferrothorn's usage will definitely go down, if only slightly.

I"ve seen almost no RU discussion. It looks like a really fun tier. Porygon-Z's gonna rape you all there.

Salamence can actually handle Ferrothorn better, it should be able to replace all of Garchomp's roles.

Not that well, but you have to pick and choose.

Not really. Nothing will be able to replace the Substitute+Swords Dance set that practically defined offensive sandstorm teams. When paired with Body Slam Jirachi and entry-hazard support, that Garchomp was nearly impossible to stop.

Yeah, I guess I was wrong, then. A lot of dragons have many aspects of Garchomp, so picking and choosing with them is the only thing to do now. No current pokemon will do all the things that Garchomp did.

As of now, the most devastating dragon will probably be Latios, even if it is stuck with HP Fire. Those massive Draco Meteors, Trick, and that high Speed are all invaluable, even if Tyranitar often has it handled. People wanted that thing banned for quite a while now.

actually, Gliscor can pull a pretty good Chomp imitation (sand viel, 4x ice weak, STAB EQ, SubSD). Its also bulkier and can use baton pass. Unfortunately, its slower and less powerful. I'm kinda tempted to use it so I can convince people that sand veil is broken, but its probably gonna be underwhelming.
If we are having a battle and I disconnect, it is 100% unintentional; my power goes off often and each time my modem resets.

Gone until Aug, 10 or something for a trip w/out net access. C u after that. If I suddenly dissapear after that you can bet I got bad grades on my IGCSE's, since results are coming out the week afterwards.

Probably. Although, the following strategy comes to mind:

    Sandy Passin'
Impish / Leftovers / Sand Veil
    - Substitute
    - Rock Polish
    - Swords Dance
    - Baton Pass
    252 HP / 252 Defense / 6 Sp. Defense

You can change the EVs and even the Nature for more Speed if you want.

Anyway, come in on a primarily physical Poke that you can force out (like Conkeldurr and Band/Scarf EQ-locked Landorus) and Rock Polish on the switch. Sub repeatedly until the foe misses, then either Baton Pass the Speed and the Sub, or use Swords Dance and Baton Pass when you can't Sub anymore. If you're especially lucky, you can pass +2 Attack, +2 Speed, and a Substitute!

...Dang. Now I want to use this in Diamond. XD

Lol, but the sub part of it isn't the most reliable thing, is it? Of course, you could irritate your opponent into switching again...T.T

^ Thats the whole problem with Garchomp, and mainly why it was banned.
