What if type resist berries activated on any hit from that type, not just Super Effective ones? I could see Haban Berry gaining some niche popularity, as it would allow a much greater number of mons act as lures or even counters to Dragon types.
It's certainly viable; the Chilan Berry already does it (though that's likely because Normal is super effective against... nothing).
I don't remember if this has been mentioned before, but what if Sceptile got access to Nasty Plot and Earth Power? Might that be what it needs to get catapulted into UU or even OU? How would this change affect the way Sceptile is played? [Insert other relevant questions here.]
I can't see it being banned in UU because plenty of stuff can revenge it. It also wouldn't see enough OU usage to move up either since it struggles to get past common threats on almost all common teams.
What if Electivire and Magmortar were to gain the Fighting and Psychic types respectivly?
It would improve Electrive by giving it STAB Cross Chop and a stealth rock resistance whilst Magmorter would get worse since Psychic is bad STAB and even worse defensively.
Ok. Oh, Sceptile and Serperior getting a secondary Dragon type?
Serperior with Dragon type = Draco Meteor Contrary 0-0
For that matter, Grass/Dragon Meganium with Dragon Pulse and Dragon Claw (as well as DM, obviously.) What would that be like?
Still, when looking at this, I thought of a Swords Dance set utilising Seed Bomb, Earthquake and Dragon Claw as attacks. Could work, but only if you know your opponent doesn't have anything else to back them up. Of course, Draco Meteor is a nice blowing attack on a support set, I guess. I would also guess that Keldeo without HP-Ice isn't going to appreciate part-Dragon Meganium around (resists Water, but I am not sure if Secret Sword is lethal).
Thanks for reading.
I'm not done with would-be Dragons yet! Now, what if Yanmega were Bug/Dragon? I personally think a Tinted Lens Draco Meteor would really sting those Steel switch ins. Would this be what the dragonfly needs to get into a higher tier?
What if charizard was dragon/fire? Talk about better defensive typing, not to mention decent movepool and stats. I'd put him in at least UU.
