Genesect is a bit intense for the metagame, and may be banned for it, but stopping it hasn't been too hard. I imagine if it were banned, it would be for the same reason that Salamence got banned in Gen IV.

I'm just sad that Chomp doesn't get bulk up. If it could, one might be able to run an interesting dedicated bulky offense set with probably Outrage BU and EdgeQuake, and it would have at least fair synergy with Rough Skin.
Yeah, but without Self-Recovery, don't expect it to last long like BU ShedSkin Rest Scrafty can.
Drain Punch + Crunch = Awesome Coverage.
What's the harm in swapping Crunch for Ice Punch? Some people sacrifice it for Dragon Tail anyway, and Ice + Fighting still offers a lot of coverage.
Yeah, it's definitely tough out there for a Scrafty. The influx of Therian Tornadus sure didn't help its case.
Scrafty isn't even viable in OU. This has been discussed at length and despite it not being necessarily outclassed by anything, it just generally isn't good enough.
at any rate, yeah, bulk-up Garchomp would still have recovery issues, but it'd be an interesting gimmick to try. (Note: Gimmick. Not something you'd waltz into a tourney and try without further thought.)
@Data-Roxas; I wouldn't even call a bulk up set a gimmick. I'd just say it's bad.
Sets I've tried that are not outclassed/ bad: Choice Band (best set right now), Yache/ Haban Berry Swords Dance (probably better than sub dance right now), Sub Swords Dance (Forces switches so still at least ok), Choice Scarf (Always will be good but struggles for a place), Stealth Rock lead (beats the common new Terrakion lead and can set up on Deixys-D) and ChainChomp (will forever be good).
I don't think the bulkier sets are particularly good.
mreh, fair enough. This is why I should stick to pre-tested sets. XD
At any rate, Chomp can't learn BU, so as the Tootsie pop commercials go, "The world will never know..."
