Does anyone else feel that the general level of musicianship is of a higher quality from people who are Youtube famous musicians than from people who top the pop charts?

@TheMysteryno. Definitely. Mainstream music doesn't seem to catch the artistry as well, at least to me. I don't mean to assume, but I feel like a lot of artists on the charts do what they do for fame and fortune, as opposed to the YouTube musicians who really do love making music and find joy from doing so.
Yeah, the ones on the charts get there using strategic marketing, while the people on youtube need to get noticed by being exceptionally good. I've found some of the best music that I know on youtube.

I honestly haven't searched around for many YouTube artists. I should, though, if what I said really is true.
That's partially why I want to go into Music Business in college, so I can get an idea for how the industry works and work my way into it.
A good start would probably be Gregory Brothers, Ronald Jenkees, The McLovins and Sungha Jung. Zack Kim used to be awesome, but he deleted his Youtube account. Tay Zonday is ok if that's what you're into, but he only has a couple good songs IMO (I actually like Chocolate Rain x_x).

Gregory Brothers are the ones who do Autotune the News (bed intruder song, double rainbow song, etc.), Ronald Jenkees does really sick synth hip hop beats, McLovins are an awesome jam band and Sungha Jung is a young Korean guitar virtuoso.
Does anyone else have any good Youtube musicians? We should compile a list. We should compile multiple lists, actually...

Hardly know one online...
See, here I'm now by myself, uh, er, talking to myself.
Although I do agree that covers by famous Youtube musicians (Clara C, for example) can sometimes wind up better than the original, there is just the novelty of the songs in and of themselves at their release that leaves for such broad and lovely interpretations. A cover can never have the innovation of the original, but it can reinvent it. That's the beauty of music and its ability to evolve. That's why I hesitate when I say that covers from certain musicians are guaranteed better than their original counterparts.

I've been noticing lately that tracks 2 and 6 on an album are generally pretty decent songs. Has anyone else noticed something similar?
