"Shit Shadow, we got to scope this place out. As an Elite Ranger, it's my job. I can't help but to wonder what is down here. Or what kind of Pokemon we'll run into and how they react when they see us. Good thing we 'borrowed' these items from the Pokeshop. I just don't get how they will work." I looked at the small entrance to the cave. "Weird how no one noticed this before. Things don't just randomly appear. Wonder what caused this. Groudon maybe?" The large black, orange underbellied dog shrugged his shoulders and barked loudly as he looked into the cave.

"Pretty loud echo." He grinned. He was right, I could hear his bark loud and clear... but so could everything else in there.

"Well thanks a lot. You just warned whatever is in there that we're coming." I grumbled. "Now we don't have the element of surprise on our side."

"Yeah, well, I can take whatever comes our way." Shadow said confidently. I just shook my head. "What? You don't think so?"

"Oh, I do, but it is still better to take precaution. Especially since we don't know what we're up against."

"You know, you worry too much." Shadow said.

"You won't be saying that when something bad happens." I sighed, and pulled out a black and silver Pokeball. "Oh well. The hell with it, let's just head on in." I tossed the small, baseball-sized Pokeball in front of me. A large, four legged deer-like, steel plated beast emerged from the ball. He roared loudly and I just laughed.

"WHAT?" Shadow said. "Why don't you get mad at him for making loud noises?"

"I didn't get mad at you, and besides, you already let them know we're here." I said grinning. "Good thing you're coming with us, because if there are any poachers, you can easily scare them away."

"Maybe." Shadow laughed, "Or they could attack us and try and take him.

"Ha, as if I'd let them harm him, or any of you or the Pokemon in this cave. They'd have to answer to me." With that, I stepped into the cave.

"Hmm, there doesn't appear to be a welcoming party for us." I said, laughing a little as we entered the cave. I slid down Cobalion's neck, planting my feet on the ground. I looked around the cave, but there wasn't much to look at. It was one of the plainest caves I've seen.

"Where do you think we should start?" Shadow asked.

"Well, there is only one place to go." Cobalion said, looking to the west.

"Yeah, but I'm sure we can blast our way around." Shadow said confidently.

"Why would we do that? We don't know what kind of Pokemon are in this cave and if they made there home here." I said, knowing he didn't mean that. He hadn't slept in about two and a half days now. He was keeping watch with Cobalion at Meteor Valley for poachers who dared come to this island. He refused to go to sleep until he found them, which he did, but then we came here.

Shadow just shrugged and moved towards the west part of the cave. This room wasn't very big, I just hoped they didn't get any smaller than this or we'd have some problems. We then headed into the opening on the west.

As we stepped into the western room, I noticed that there was nothing in there either. No Pokemon, no nothing. It was all plain just like the room I was in before this one. The only thing different was that now, was that there were three other rooms I could go into instead of just one. There was a room on the North, South, and West, and I wasn't sure which one I would take.

The one on the West didn't seem all that interesting to me. Seeing how I came into the cave going North, I figured I'd go South in this room. If anything, I could just come back and go North, West was going to be my last choice since I didn't feel like anything interesting would be down that path. I pulled out a small tablet and began drawing a small map. It would be wise to keep note of which paths I take so that I won't get lost when I try to get out.

"Shadow, Pointblank, do you think South is a good way to go?" I asked them. Shadow took a whiff into the air and then nodded.

"Guess if its a dead end then we can easily find our way back with that map you're making." Pointblank responded. "Let's head South then." I nodded my head in agreement and then stepped into the South room.

IC: We entered the Northern room, but, like all the rooms we encountered so far, there was nothing in this one. Or so I thought. Shadow moved forward and picked something up in his mouth. He brought it over to me. It was a black apricorn. I had no idea how a seed got under here, but that didn't matter right now. All I cared about was finding out what was going on down here.

I pocketed the Apricorn and turned back south and went back into the room I came from.

"Whatever, you pick then." I said, rolling my eyes. I moved my hand into my pocket and pulled out my pad and pen. Then I drew a square signifying the room we just entered and drew a small 'x' on it. "Okay, whenever you're ready."

"Well, since you picked North and that was wrong," He said, laughing again.

"We go West." Pointblank finished. He sounded pretty confident, and I hoped he was right. I wasn't sure if he suggested this way becasue Shadow was, or because he could feel that it led somewhere.

"Yeah, that is what I was going to say." He shrugged. We then headed towards the Western entrance.

I wasn't worried about getting lost, we had Mindbender here to teleport us out if needed. I took in a deep breath and then walked into the Northern entrance.
