As you and your Pokemon are ushered into the Great Lakes through a huge crowd of excited trainers that are present for the Easter Capture Event, you quickly notice that there are two available routes for you to choose.

On the left, there was barely any land space left, with huge lakes spawning up to the sizes of hypermarts. This would probably mean that the rarer, but much more difficult to battle Pokemon, would reside in this area. On the right, there were several small lakes, cramped between the little but walk-able land spaces.

Which route shall you and Pokemon take in this Capture Contest?

OOC: I chose timid and I think I edited it in to my stats already. Also like I said this is my first rp here so let me know if I mess up anything.

Mawill walked into the entrance of the park with a huge grin on his face. This is gonna be so much fun! he thought to himself I can't wait to battle. He walked up to a sign with information on it as he waited for the giant crowd to die down a bit.

"...one pokemon... Free items include... Keep what you caught... Egg list... Ok got it." He muttered as he read the poster, registered all his information, and headed out into the park. He is quickly led to the Great Lakes region and he looks around taking in the sights. "Wow. So pretty"

He tapped the Pokeball on his belt absentmindedly. "Which way Smeagol?" He asked. If I go left I will see stronger and rarer pokemon but if I go right the environment is better for battling and the battles will be easier. Lets go that way then. Mawill started off in that direction gripping his trusty Serperior's Pokeball tightly in his hand.

OOC: That's alright. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. For Event RPs, the rangers don't really post Roleplays, but they will just summarize everything, since stats and speed are the focus for Event RPs. You can however, still describe whatever that you feel like describing. (eg. like if I've just summarized that you went to a pond and see a Poliwag, you can actually describe how/what the area looked like to you, if you want)

You decide to approach the easier option and walk towards the small lakes. A Buizel sitting by the lakes take notice of you and walked towards you. Will you attempt to capture this Buizel, or continue travelling in hopes of finding a rarer Pokemon?

As the young semi-new trainer walked along the wet skinny path he eventually happened upon an orange and yellow weasel Pokemon with a life preserver around its neck and tails made for spinning like a motorboat sitting by the crystal clear lake. "Hmm, Buizel..." He spoke softly thinking. I can try to capture it, it shouldn't be too hard. And an easy capture means more points, but I'm pretty sure buizels are fairly common so I wouldn't get that many points in this regard. Welp, might as well give it a shot.

Mawill reached for the Pokeball sitting on his belt and released his Serperior, Smeagol next to him. "Hey boy" he said as he scratched the snake's head who nuzzled up to the hand.

"Ser..." The grass type cried softly. He looked into his trainer's eyes asking what he needed.

"I know you don't care for fighting too much but I decided you would be the best for the contest. Will you help me try to catch some pokemon?" The snake nodded and trainer grinned as he turned towards the Buizel. "Let's see then... Motor tail and floatie for a neck. We should try to keep it out of the water. Ok. Start off with a leaf tornado please Smeagol!" He shouted.

The Serperior waved its tail sent the grass move towards the little water type.

You decide to try and capture the Buizel, and ordered your Serperior to perform a Leaf Tornado attack. The Buizel decides to make use of the lake that was beside it, and attacked Serperior with a powerful Aqua Tail.

Mawill had a half-smile on his face as he watched the tornado of leaves whip the Buizel in a spinning motion dealing a good bit of damage. "Great job Smeagol!" He encouraged the strong grass snake. The Buizel used the lake and smacked the tame Pokemon with tails covered in water. He cried out a little but was more surprised than hurt.

"An aqua tail attack, hmm..." The trainer said to himself as he kept his eyes locked on the male water type he was trying to capture. One more leaf tornado should get it in capturing range I think. Lets see if we can try to keep the Buizel further away. he strategized.

"Give it another leaf tornado Smeagol! See if you can use it to increase the distance between you two." The Pokemon nodded again and waved his tail again with its eyes focused in concentration on increasing the rotation of tornado to blow the Buizel further away.

You decide to try and hurt the Buizel with another Leaf Tornado. But before your Serperior could move, Buizel had already strike first with an Aqua Jet. The attack seemed to have dealt much more damage than it should. Upon closer inspection, you realized that there were two separate bruises on Serperior's skin. Buizel must have utilized an Aqua Jet and Double Hit combo. Serperior then tries to retaliate with a Leaf Tornado, and it did not seem to deal as much damage as before. Buizel seemed to have realized your attack pattern and got used to it.
