    OOC: using a pokedoll

As I strolled with my ranger and Blaziken down the rock path, I came across a wild Purrloin slinking in front of me. It seemed shocked when it saw me, letting out a shriek. The deep purple-coloured cat was of no interest to me, and was easily obtainable elsewhere if I had decided to change my mind. Aware of my limited time in the park, I pulled out a single Pokédoll which resembled a Pichu and chucked it to the feline. This was a trick I had picked up in other runs – the cat would take the bait hook, line and sinker. It seemed bemused by the toy, purring softly at the sight of it and rubbing its paws across it. I hoped that it wouldn't lose its focus on the plushie.

Purlion quickly takes the Pokedoll away from your hands and runs into a small bush to your left. You continue to walk down the path, which eventually leads to a small lake, with a huge waterfall crashing down. You start to walk around the lake, noticing a small cave left of the waterfall. However out of the water appears an Alakazam. Alakazam halts you with his magical powers and demands a battle

    1. Attack
    2. Distract his psychic powers and run for it. (Flee)

Me and Gman continued down the path, eager to encounter the next Pokémon as quickly as possible to give us as much time to capture one - I knew that my time here was extremely limited and that we had to hurry up. We picked up the pace into a slight jog, and the path began to descend. Once the path had begun to level out again, we found ourselves in a beautiful lake with a waterfall gushing down from a cliff face. We slowed down to catch our breaths. Eyeing a cave to the left of the waterfall, Gman suggested we looked there. I agreed, and we started to head in that direction before an Alakazam appeared from the water, levitating just above the surface. Although it was an extremely rare and valuable Pokémon, it would take a huge effort to capture it and I had a feeling that I would be able to get one reasonably soon.

“C'mon,” I said impatiently to my ranger. “Let's skip the psychic-type.”

Alakazam's powers are too strong and you cannot flee, it summons a small blue orb and fires it into the air. The clouds darken and suddenly starts raining. It used Rain Dance. Looks like it doesn't want to go away that easily.

    1. Attack
    2. Try to flee again

OOC: Sorry for the really short posts, will do more when there's something I like :O

As we tried to walk away, a mysterious force seemed to stop us in our tracks; the powerful Alakazam didn't want us to run away, instead wanting to battle. It moved its golden hands together, forming a blue sphere. He launched this into the air with a swift movement of his arms, and it began to rain – he has used a Rain Dance attack. This had sealed the deal; the only Pokémon I bought with me was both weak to psychic-type attacks and was weakened by the heavy rain.

Pulling my hood up, I attempted to flee once again. Hopefully, I would have better results this time.

Alakazam sees something in the distance and quickly runs away. The rain continues to fall and all of a sudden, a large feline Pokemon strutted its way towards the trainer. Your ranger tells you that Alakazam was frightened by Liepard, the feline Pokemon, because Liepard was a dark Pokemon, and is super effective against a psychic type like Alakazam. Liepard walks forward and stops eager for a fight.

The Psychic Pokémon seemed to block me escaping using an invisible force to keep me close. It looked like I had to battle it. However, as it began to charge a beam of energy to fire at me, it noticed another Pokémon, a little Ralts, in the distance and aimed at that instead. Taking my short window of opportunity, I ran alongside Gman from the psychic-type before it realised we were gone. However, not too soon after, we encountered a Liepard, the evolution of a Purrloin we had seen earlier. It being stronger was even less appealing to me, and once again I decided to escape from the cat.

Liepard instantly notices another psychic Pokemon in the distance and completely ignores your presence. You continue to walk towards the cave, however you hear the sound of jingles. You turn around and a Chingling is hovering in front of you.

It turned out that running away was the correct option to take – instead of following me, it had instead decided to focus its attention on a Pokémon in the distance, possibly an easy to defeat psychic-type like an Abra or a Ralts. This was a wise move on the part of the feline, because had it wanted to attack me it would have had to faced my powerful Blaziken. Even in the pouring rain, the oversized chicken was a master with a multitude of elemental kicks and punches, several of which would be strong enough to knock the leopard out. The dark-type sprinted off in the direction I had just came from, leaping several yards at a time.

Looking for a Pokémon in this weather would be difficult – almost every creature had ran into a cave, crevice or some other form of shelter as the downpour had commenced. The torrent was still barraging down on me and Gman. The storm was at its height, and becoming so awful that I had almost considered backing out of the National Park, into the cosy and warm interiors of the beautifully designed buildings. However, almost as soon as I had thought this thought, I dismissed it immediately. These park events were rare, and for all I knew the next Pokémon I encountered could be one of the creatures I had hoped to find when signing up. Me and my ranger continued to search around for an elusive Pokémon, one which was not fazed by the awful weather conditions. Whatever Pokémon I found next, it had to be strong or brave to survive out here.

I was wrong. Behind me I heard the faint sound of bells ringing, gradually growing louder as time ticked by. I turned around slowly (my movements were somewhat hindered by the rain) to see where exactly the curious noise was coming from. And then I saw the Pokémon which was approaching me; a feeble Chingling appeared from over the rocky hill. It was alone, possibly lost or separated from its family in the pouring rain. As it got closer to me, the bells rang more frantically, maybe in anger, maybe because it was frustrated. Although it may not have been the right thing to do, I wanted to capture it. It evolved into Chimecho which would fit in nicely to my team – I lacked Psychic-types.

I grabbed a single Pokéball, the only one I had brought with me, from my pocket and chucked it to the ground. It snapped open and my trusty Blaziken emerged in a flash of scarlet light. Almost immediately, it showed discomfort being in the rain, but I knew that it was used to fighting in these extreme conditions. Many a time, it had won fierce battles in storms and blizzards, and now would be no different. It looked over its crimson shoulder at me, awaiting its first command. I thought carefully over which attack to use. Fire-typed attacks would be significantly weaker in the current weather, and fighting-typed attacks were generally no good against psychic-types such as the Chingling I was to fight. I didn't have many attacks other than those which wouldn't do much damage. And then I remembered a technique I had taught the farmyard animal just several days ago.

“Blaziken!” I called, preparing to tell my fighter what attack to use. “Use a Thunderpunch to shock the Chingling!”

Blaziken had used a the devastating Thunderpunch just twice before. Charging up an electrical enemy in its stronger left hand, it would launch the fist into the stomach of the opponent causing it to be shocked – it even had a small chance to stun the foe. I hoped that this move would work, as the second part of my plan was starting to formulate in my mind so long as the electrical attack would work. And then, it should be relatively easy to capture.

OOC: Suddenly don't want dat Chingling. Too strong for my puny Blaziken.

The tiny bell Pokémon proved too strong for even my mighty Blaziken. After my ferocious ThunderPunch struck the Chingling, mysteriously my Blaziken lifted into the air before being catapulted a couple of yards away. It took a lot of damage from the one attack, and I knew that I wouldn't be able to defeat it. I reached around in my bag, and pulled out an Energy Powder. Handing it to the chicken, he consumed the solid and looked almost as good as new.

“Alright, Blaziken,” I called. “We're going to run away from the Chingling, because it's too damn strong. We'll take a gamble on the last Pokémon – hopefully it'll be an easy dark-type.”

You start to run away, and it successfully works. You run further into the cave and reach a large room. You take a breather when suddenly a Spoink appears from behind the rocks. Do you want to capture Spoink.
