Hey guys how about we have a section where it is just user's own made music.
Free styling is important and I'm always hungry for music so why not other people's music. You would post what scale you based it on and the tabs/notes/strings/etc.

I don't see why not. We allow for original art and fiction in the Art and Writing sections.

And if you guys (mods) thinks it is a unnecessary hassle I could help out by maybe by like having them PM me their idea/music and I'll approve it or something. I just want to help out and I think it will be a good idea.

Umm... King Maggot and Sazand*ra this is exactly what the CMS and the music section is going to be for...

You forget that I'm the one who proposed it in the first place.

King Maggot was talking about stuff like musical scores, from what I gathered. Our CMS would have only been for the actual recordings.

I'm not sure we could build a CMS that supported musical scores, though. They would have to be a separate part of the music section.

I assumed ratings included this.

Musical scores, not ratings. A score is a piece of written music.

Yeah, what I'm talking about is like people will post their own original music.
So other people can learn it and hopefully post their own free styles somebody.

Well, I assumed that was up to the artist and I do know what scores are but I assumed you meant points/ratings.

If the artist doesn't want to reveal it, then I think it should be up to him/her

It would be like posting fanfics except instead fanmusic.

A musician is an artist. Haven't you noticed on Itunes it says artist not musician?
