We need a mobile site for smaller screens. The PC version is no good for phones. It needs too many pixels. Fancy scrolling and/or shrunk items that you can't read? I don't think so. The normal version is also a bit unfriendly on slower mobiles/systems. Too slow, eh... And add to the fact that non-touchscreen users are disadvantaged with the what would be confusing to a keypad-only user forum layout.

Mobile viewing would be helpful for web-enabled phones that aren't Android or iPhone (such as my phone). UP

UP Although I have no problems going on Bulbagarden on my iPod, it certainly would help other users who have problems using BMGf on their mobile devices.
