Thread: Xerneas or Yveltal?

Which one do you like better?
Xerneas or Yveltal



Personally, I like Xerneas better. There's just that mystical, "Guardian of the Forrest" feel about it.

Xerneas. I don't know, I've never been a fan of bird pokemon, and I love Xerneas' rainbow antlers.

Oddly, it's Sugimori art looks quite different from the 3D model used in the ad..

I love Xerneas. So graceful and full of poise.

Yveltal is by no means bad, though. Pretty bad ass, actually.

To be honest, I find Yveltal a little bit creepy.

Yveltal looks sinister yet is a beast. I will get Pokemon Y just for it. Xerneas is cool too, however he seems like the illegitimate child of Dialga and and Stantler.

Yveltal. He's pure badass, and reminds me of a sinister Lugia.

Yveltal, because Xerneas looks like a mix of Stantler and Dialga. Plus Yveltal's cool.

I definitely prefer Yveltal. It's so menacing and badass looking. It kinda looks like a mix of Lugia and Darkrai. Xerneas is cool, but doesn't look as unique as Yveltal does.

I just noticed, they guys tend to prefer Yveltal while the girls tend prefer Xerneas [based off of the current comments].

Although I initially preferred Yveltal, since the Sugimori artwork was released I think I like Xerneas a little bit more (which is good for me since I've always been planning to get X regardless of the legendary).

I like Xerneas. It just has this mystical, yet seemingly natural element to it that just gives off this natural vibe, something you can easily envision co-existing with the world and its nature somehow. I suppose part of the appeal could be because it also reminds me of the deer from Princess Mononoke I believe.

Yveltal is also pretty good in its own right, it looks interesting and all, although its design does seem fairly contrasting to the rest of the world around it. But these are just observations based on the sole trailer alone, so this is subject to change for me. I could very well switch opinions and prefer Yveltal over Xerneas, like how I was with Reshiram and Zekrom.

Definitely Yveltal.

Not to say that Xenreas looks bad, because it honestly doesn't - it just isn't my type of Pokémon. It does look cool, but Yveltal looks so sinister, powerful, it quite honestly looks like some mythical legendary Pokémon out of ancient tales. I love it.

Xerneas

As soon as I saw him he reminded me of the spirit of the forest or whatever they called him in princess mononoke

As with others just because i prefer Xerneas doesn't mean i dislike Yveltal. I love them both but Xerneas is more my type of mon.

I would have to say Yveltal, but I do love both already. It's hard to make a decision right now because we don't even know their types yet xD
I hope, really hope, that I won't be disappointed by them... If they make Yveltal Fire/Flying, then I'm getting X. We don't need another Ho-Oh/Moltres...

Yveltal. I love birds, the red color and it reminds me of Yatagarasu. Xerneas has a nice design, but I am not fond of quadrupedal Pokémon.
