Thread: Water/Ground Showdown!

Swampert is simply better. Amazing stats. Amazing movepool. Oh and, it's a starter pokemon, do I need to say more? I think you get my point, there is no real comparison here.

In the first place comes Swampert, because, besides being a starter, it's very cool in terms of design and quite useful in battle.

And as runner-ups come Quagsire and Gamageroge, because they make me laugh. They look quite funny and from what I've heard, they are not bad. Damn Yawn...

Though he isn't on the list I prefer Marshtomp to all lisdted here

Whiscash is one of my favourite Pokémon EVER.

I just love catfish and like the mythology behind Whiscash. It helps that I caught one in Sapphire as my surfin-slave and traded it over to every game after RS and has a shitload of ribbons attached to it.
The dopey look on its face is funny as well.

Whiscash surely is the worst water/ground type out there, but at least it has an interesting movepool. My Whiscash won against several stronger Pokémon out there in WiFi battles.

i picked gastrodon and the new mr.wartface . I traded a shellos egg to heartgold and one of it's very first battles was against entei x3. She helped my team out tons. and mr.wartface..eh i unno, i just like it x3

I like this "same double-typed pokemon" kind of contest.

I'm voting Swampert which happens to be in my avatar (btw I think the RSE sprite is the best of this Pokemon, but maybe I have strange taste). It's quite useless to explain why my vote goes to Swampert, as all the reasons are already mentioned before. Just gonna say that Muddy Water is an epic move.

Anyway, its move set is awesome, it looks amazing (though Gastrodon has nicer design), very useful in battle, great stats. BTW, Marshtomp is water/ground type as well.
So Swampert comes in first, followed by a close tie between Gastrodon and Quagsire.

gamageroge i think looks the most awesome. plus,it's ability, underhanded, would help with battles so much!

and i never really liked swampert, it just looks too freakin' ugly!

Swampert, because I started with a Mudkip in Ruby, so I'm kind of attached. Plus, its awesome in every way.
