Voting for Quagsire for 2 reasons. He's the original, and he had a simply epic get on 4chan's /vp/ board.
Oh God, you couldn't have picked a better Swampert sprite? Like maybe this one:
I just think that all of Swampert's sprites have been unflattering. The only exception is the Gen V one, which makes him look badass (and the 3-D model one too). The sprites left me a bad first impression of the Pokemon that I've never been able to fully recover from (also, at first I thought it was just a weird looking Mudkip). Swampert is my least favorite Water Starter and one of my least favorite Starters in general.
That said, he's by far the best and most awesome looking Water/Ground type GF has made so far. His stats are simply superior, his movepool is amazing for tanking and support and he looks so much more classy and badass than all the others. Everyone else just looks kind of derpy.
So, Swampert gets my vote. Because even though it's one of my least favorite Starters, it's still one of my top 50 favorite Pokemon of all time.
Swampert is indeed the best of them all. Quagsire is only good for countering Kyogre. Wishcash is just plain bad. Gastrodon is often called an inferior Swampert with recover. The latsest one doesn't impress me that much .

Voted for everyone except Whiscash. Swampert looks the best imo (and I don't think the sprite used in the opening post for it is horrible :P), but they all look cool/cute to me. Except Whiscash. That one annoyed me a lot in RSE for whatever reason.
I actually like Gastrodon quite a bit. I've considered raising one for my Team even. I really find its design and strange cry pretty fun. Sluggy, slimey, all the good stuff. It also has pretty decent options.
Also, it can have fun with Gardevoir, which is something it has over all others.=P
I also like how it changes looks depending on its Sinnoh location. I wonder how the hell will that work in Isshu. XD My favorite would be West Sea Gastrodon. Nice pink, and those horns.
I also like Quagsire and Swampert somewhat. Whiscash is funny as well. The new frog is alright, but kind of creepy. At least it looks way better and less creepy than its previous Stages, but still not too good.
Swampert, damn it! Best starter ever, I like it a lot and it could beat everyone else. I also picked Quagmsire.
Swampert is my most favoritest Pokémon ever. I think I like Whiscash second best, then Quagsire. I love Water/Ground Pokémon in general.
I say Swampert, he is clearly the best in design and battle, and one of the best starters of all time (lol, I sound like Kanye there XD).
Although, I accidentaly voted for Gamegore on the poll. Damn.....
Gastrodon is easily my favorite here. And it does quite well with Stockpile, Recover, Toxic, Protect, plenty of offensive options, and that new Storm Drain.
Definitely Swampert. But I do like all of them ok.
Whiscash. That little fucker gets DRAGON DANCE. It's epic dual STAB combined with it's good bulk and decent attack makes it deadly after a couple boosts.
Assuming the opponent is stupid enough to let you get a couple of boosts, then yeah. Of course, in that same situation, there are Pokemon that use Dragon Dance better (Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Gyarados, Feraligatr, etc) so even then, Wiscash is still kinda useless.Quote:
